Following his consultation with us, Valdemar Kozanevicz travelled to Antalya, Turkey, for a full-mouth restoration using All-on-6 implant system on both jaws — and the procedure was completed in just two visits!
1st Visit: 12 implants were placed to form the foundation for the permanent zirconia crowns. A fixed temporary acrylic bridge was fitted for Valdemar during the 3–6 month healing period.
2nd Visit: We completed the transformation with 12 upper and 12 lower zirconia crowns, giving him a strong, natural-looking smile.
Dental crown and treatment plans are unique to each patient. A patient’s dental and oral health, overall health, and age all influence the treatment plan. However, we can provide a general treatment plan to give our patients an idea of the process.
Day 1: The patient visits the clinic. After taking X-rays, a detailed examination is performed. A personalized treatment plan is then prepared.
Day 2: The teeth are prepared for crown treatment, and impressions are taken. Temporary crowns are then placed. These crowns protect the teeth and prevent sensitivity until the permanent crowns are installed.
Day 3: The temporary crowns are removed, and the permanent crowns are cemented in place. Any adjustments requested by the patient are made, followed by polishing. The patient is now ready to enjoy their new smile.
This treatment plan covers only dental crown. If dental implant is required, a temporary dental bridge is placed after the implant surgery. The permanent dental bridge is then placed one to two days later.
Dental crowns, whether made of Emax or zirconia, typically last over 15 years. This lifespan can be extended if proper oral hygiene is maintained. However, poor oral hygiene can significantly shorten the lifespan of dental crowns.
